Kauffman Foundation Entrepreneurs In Residence

This program funds EIRs to use NYDesigns as a base and fan out into the NYC entrepreneurship ecosystem to support startups and young business at their early growth stage.

CFA  Incubator Program

Sponsored by New York State, a Strategist in Residence meets with NYDesigns residents companies to help them shape their road map and find new growth opportunity.


The International Innovators Initiative is developed by the NYCEDC is collaboration with 7 CUNY campuses. The program is helping international entrepreneurs by providing cap-exempt H-1B visas when they build their companies on campus.

Capital One Entrepreneurship Program

Our long-running program sponsored by Capital One Bank guides student entrepreneurs to create viable business plans and matches them with mentors from Capital One’s New York offices.

CUNY Advanced Manufacturing Grant

With the goal to strengthen manufacturing in NYC, CUNY funded the acquisition of new equipment for NYDesigns’ FabLab as well as a series of workshops on Laser Cutting and 3D Printing in partnership with Shapeways.
